All the software I use is legal, I had 'evaluation' copies of stuff in the past but I don't want to risk having any problems with my setup cause I don't have the time to have to troubleshoot software problems.

I've bought and paid for Live (4, 5 and 6) Pro Tools (MBox, 002 Factory) and Cycling 74 Mode. Our band has also paid for QuadraSid and Slayer 2.

I think my sig says it all. And yes, all legit, no evaluation copies either. My interest was mainly in emulations and the rate of the market seems to have slowed down so I'm not expecting to get much more apart from the Gmedia String Machine and perhaps Korg Digital legacy. Lots of effects too, mainly PSP and OhmForce.

There's a legal way to get software?

No, seriously, I have Sonar and Windows XP legit. That's about it.

I don't use too many softies these days. I use Ableton with the impulse and operator and Massive.

Most of the soft side of things is FX and processors. I just could never make enough money to get all the hardware comps and eq's I'd need.

Reverbs - Audio Ease Altiverb and Audio Damage Reverence & DubStation(delay).

Most of my tracks are about 50/50 i'd say. Not bad.

All of my software is legal. I think a company making a great product with good customer service and updates should be supported!

I use:

Ableton Live 6
Izotope iDrum
Spectrasonics BFD
Izotope Ozone 3
IK Multimedia Miroslav Phillharmonik
Swar Systems Sawrplug
Audiorealism Bassline Pro
u-he Zebra2
Native Instruments Komplete 4
...and then the freebies like Automat and Krystal etc.

No selection on the poll for those of us recording without software? Well I guess some or most of my kit has it's own software but I don't think those count for the poll.

FL Studio, Moog Modular V2 and Microtonic are the only legal copies. I'm slowly replacing the rest of my plugins with legal versions.

None legal, none illegal. Computers hate me.
