Soft drum machine (free or cheap)?

Post by zielvis » Fri Aug 24, 2007 11:12 am

I'm looking for some new drum programming possibilities. Can somebody suggest any decent software drum machine I can get for free or at least for not much?

It must run on Mac OX,be Audio Unit and Universal Binary.

Thanks in advance!

The Waldorf Edition is almost like buying a great, modern sounding drum machine with OSx, AU, UB compatibility, with two great plug-ins thrown for free: the PPG and D-pole filter which is great to process the attack drum sounds.

That is for windows
The big one is
For Linux O/S
Hammer head is lots of fun to play with and free all the way.
Yet, if you run Linux. Hydrogen beats it out of the water.

There is users and power users. The users use only use the synth. The power users use every thing.

+1 for the Waldorf. Very powerfull drum synth which can be used as a synth too. I think its 75.00 USD.

+2 for the Waldorf Edition. For only $75 you get not only the excellent Attack drum synth but also the D-pole filter plug-in and the PPG Wave softsynth. This is one of the best deals out there IMO.
.....i have some things that create and sculpt sound.
