I don't, but you have to remember that Vangelis used both Aftertouch and volume control pedal alot when playing with that sound. He didn't just stab the keyboard. So you might not get anywhere right just holding keys down, you need to mimic his way of expression too.
Use an Aftertouch-enabled midi keyboard if you have it.
The basis of that sound is the "strings" presets, but they are not the same as the presets on the real CS80, so you can't use them. But it should be a pretty easy sound, set two oscillators very close to unison (not exact unison), apply aftertouch to the filter and use that to control brightness and volume.

Most Blade Runner sounds aren't horns tho. Merely odd beeps, ringmod bells, arpeggios 'n such, all things you can do with that modulation matrix hidden at the left. Strings 'n choirs 'n such are all VP330. Additionally there's quite some Rhodes there as well.
"You know I love you, CS, but this is bullshit." (Automatic Gainsay)

Spot onBitexion wrote:Yeah sure but we all know that when ppl refer to "the bladerunner cs80 sound" they mean that slow wwaaaaAAAAAAAAA WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA brass sound in the beginning.
I modified the patch some by introducing brightness to the aftertouch and a few other tweaks and have layered it with an almost as good sound on my JV-1080 and the result is massive sound i just love .
I am going to watch the film with the sound turned off and try to write a piece in the same style but with my own touch.
Again thanks where did you get the patch BTW?

Yeh I had been to the Arturia site and they dont have that bank only the preset bank 1 and Glen Darcey bank 2 but no sign of banks 3 you speak of.chamomileshark wrote:Somewhere on the Arturia site there should be Glen Darcey's Vangelis patches, there are just a few, I think it's GD3. That horn patch, plus strings (yes, we know it was a VP330) and some other sounds.
