For us in the US (or I guess anywhere outside of Japan), you'll have to get it from ebay or something, since it is Japan only. The good thing is that it does not appear to be a limited edition type thing...so once it is shipped, they should show up with decent frequency on ebay...just like all other Japan only DS games. Korg is making some cool toys (or in this case, endorsing one). I hope you can save your songs on this. If so, it is a decent pocket machine / sketchpad. That fact that you cannot save anything on the Kaossilator is one of its biggest failings. Elektroplankton is ok, but this is more like a very lite version of Reason for the DS. It is like the next generation of the synth program from the gameboy camera. I'm excited about it, since I am bit of a Nintendo fan.

And I had been doing so well staying away from video games for the past decade... Dammit.

That is possibly one of the coolest things I've seen on the DS! I'd consider picking up another DS for that - hope it sees the light of day outside Japan.
I'll move this over to Software Synths, as that's essentially what it is.

I didn't get where I am today by posting on internet forums.

Nah. There is still a shadow in GENERAL. Now you will get the foot traffic from both sub-fora.
