I am not sure but it does have a built in mic for certain games....so it could be possible....Hugo76 wrote:Also: is it possible to record sound on the Nintendo? And how many/how big samples can the unit store?

hopefully, with a super card, recording supposed to be as big as the MicroSD could handle (up to 8 gb perhaps), can anyone confirm about this?Hugo76 wrote:And how many/how big samples can the unit store?

and it's a good one for a unit of it's size.JSRockit wrote:The DS has a headphone out...

T2000~ I'm assuming the 4 track sequencer is so you can compose full tracks with it's built in drum machine as well.JSRockit wrote:That is until someone makes an expansion pack keyboard for the DS...which will probably happen. I just got the expansion DS paddle so I can play a proper game of arkanoid!Tyler2000 wrote:Wait, what? But seriously, I figured the ds-10 was too much of a chore to play in realtime. That's why it comes with a 4 track sequencer right? Oh, and I play everything live except drums.wiss wrote: How will I sync the two?
There is this thing called playing in realtime.
JSR~ if you hear of an expansion key's please post that...

Thanks a bunch for the link, th0mas!
Could you help us with some specs for the DS? I've been looking all over, but can't seem to find out just how much sample time/how big samples the unit can hold...?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
PS! Check out this awesome demo of one of the softwares:

There's already a casio SK clone for the DS. Nothing complex yet.wiss wrote:I am not sure but it does have a built in mic for certain games....so it could be possible....Hugo76 wrote:Also: is it possible to record sound on the Nintendo? And how many/how big samples can the unit store?
Nitrotracker will sample from the mic, as well.
If you want to get really stupid, there ARE mic-in contacts on the bottom. They're meant for the voice chat headset, but~

Just got mine, it's a brilliant piece of kit! I've been playing with it on and off all day. I seem to keep making rump shake'n acid, for the most part; I got a sweet string sound by setting both synth parts proper, then I edited the drum synth as well, added delay to the drums, then chorus to everything, then I upped the bpm and eff'd with the swing. The work flow is incredible, it's an awesome sketch pad!
