What do you do your drums with?

For computer based music makers. Discussions about plug-ins and stand alone computer synth gear.

I programmed most of my drums in Tuareg or played them into the sequencer using VST samplers on separate channels. Some recent songs were programmed on a Zoom Streetbox.

Recently I rediscovered TunaFish. I plan on using it for the bulk of my drums in the future.

I load samples in Sonar's RXP player, depending on the vibe I'm after, either individual samples or my own REX files, step sequence then edit midi to humanize. Ugh. Typing that makes me reallllly miss my drum machine.

primarely it's Live's Impulse and Drum Racks.
but I got a jomox airbase that I'm sampling to use with Impulse in Live,
it's just a lot more practical to have it inside the laptop for sound mangling afterwards :P

I like to synthesize my drums, usually with FM. I use Ableton Operator for this quite a bit, and then render the individual drums to load into Impulse in Live.
Roland Juno-106, Roland D-50, Native Instruments FM7, Absynth, Pro-53, Reason, Logic, Live...

i sequence in fl studio. its great for shaping sound and has an abundance of built in effects

90% or more are samples, however sometimes for my kicks i use the fruit kick plugin(i think it sounds juicy)

mostly they are free samples i find on the net. if i sample myself, its mostly from old jazz records(one of my songs has a sample of a snare from human after all... dont tell). i never sample entire loops unless im doing a remix. and im looking into that stomper thing

I use Addictive drums for the Bass and Tom samples and EZdrummer for the cymbals and snare and misc. running through Cubase.
