So what's the deal with the M-audio coontroller?

For computer based music makers. Discussions about plug-ins and stand alone computer synth gear.

So what's the deal with the M-audio coontroller?

Post by andrew13 » Sun Apr 05, 2009 3:59 pm

Yeah cos like it's meant to be alot better than the just normal Axiom but no this is the Axiom pro, but it looks exactly the same as the Axiom but just in a different colour. So what gives people? Can anyone explain why it's meant to be better?

I only wish I could own a Clavia Nord lead 2.

It's white and has a bunch of useless names with a ™ attached to them - that's why it is better. Believe the hype!

I believe it has "hypercontrol" stuff which is supposed to work similar to automap, only it communicates through the host instead of with the plugins, and right now it only supports a few DAWs... Which unfortunately does not include Live...

yep, its hypercontrol. when i talked with an maudio rep he said it would kick automap's butt, except he didn't mention that it wont support live. that sucks. oh well, i like the SL25 a lot anyways. i think if they really wanted to compete with the SL controllers they should have put LED's above the knobs/sliders and added more knobs.

Yeah the original Axiom was bundled with Live LE, so funny if they still do that without supporting it.
