Can't wait for this...I like the DS-10, but it was too limited when using one DS.

Re: Korg DS10+ announced
I don't see the point.
you can do this now, with the original DS-10 by doubling up.
I'd be stoked if they added new features, such as utilizing the DS mic for vocoder function, or save/load MIDI files via SD-memory.

Re: Korg DS10+ announced
I think it looks very promising. I already have the DS10, and find it quite awesome. More is always better, though, and with the amount of power in the DS10+, I can see myself making full-blown, top notch tracks on the Nintendo alone
If they release a similar sampler, I'd pick up a second DSi in a blink. Well, that's an important point - it won't work with the older DS units, you have to have the DSi.
It seems they didn't expand pattern length, which is one area the reallt needed to improve, imo.
It does however have some new mute functionality and realtime tweaking in song mode.
@ Old Iron Giant:
did you see the video of the japanese guy using his DSi as a talkbox?

That is the point, you don't have to double up. Now, when I go on vacation, I can make full tracks with just one DSi.Old Iron Giant wrote:I don't see the point.

My point was, the DS/DSi has useful features that they're not utilizing in the new version of software.
It sounds cool, but noting over the top enough to make me buy a second DS-10 cart.

If you want something better, look into one of these DS-apps
Yes! you can use the DS as a MIDI controller over WIFI, but the latency is.... meh..

Re: Korg DS10+ announced
Now I'm confused - I thought the DS10+ only runs on the DSi. Is it also compatible with the original DS units?JSRockit wrote:No, but most of the new features are.novielo wrote:is it for DSi only?
Re: Korg DS10+ announced
From what I understand, it'll work on the regular DS just like the original DS-10... so, you won't get any of the new apps advantages...it'll feel like you are still using the original version (i.e. 4 tracks, etc).Hugo76 wrote:Now I'm confused - I thought the DS10+ only runs on the DSi. Ahh, I see... But I MUST have the new features, so a new unit it is!JSRockit wrote:From what I understand, it'll work on the regular DS just like the original DS-10... so, you won't get any of the new apps advantages...it'll feel like you are still using the original version (i.e. 4 tracks, etc).

Re: Korg DS10+ announced
the recording/editing during song mode will be on the old DS with the new cart, but the doubled amount of tracks, synths, and drum parts will not be.Hugo76 wrote:Ahh, I see...
