Hmm, are you looking for an actual step sequencer or something like Scuzzphut6? Because the latter is a trancegate & delay, not a general purpose step seq.

I've always just used the ones found in DAWs, so don't really know about those plugins - but there's a category for step sequencers in KvR's database search, so I'd recommend looking through those.

kanfuze: would a tracker be sufficient for you?

If so: try reViSiT, a tracker VSTi.

Hmm that site set off my AVAST virus protection and detected a tojan
????

for a straight Drum module there's always the very simple iDrum.
Techno Toys is now dead and my memory is blurry as to who hosts those old legacy step sequencers...
De La Mancha has a bunch of step sequencers/sample boxes with some randomization parameters...

For experimental effects you can always check out Sugar Bytes

Mentioned it, the trojan should be gone by now.

I'm curious as to wether or not there is a "tr-808 like" drum sequencer VST out there? I love the 808 for its sound, but mostly for its sequencer style. I think it'd be really intuitive and great to sequence my own samples in such a manner. Anyone know if something like this exists?

(I guess I could always buy a Miami and sequence sounds in GURU through midi CC notes, but a VST would be a ton cheaper)

There's definitely a virus that attempts to install itself when I visit the link you posted, AVAST detected/deleted multiple files on my hard drive after I followed that link.
