Rate my bone!
A tenor trombone!
I'm sure there's no need to mention which VSTi this is! ^^

Re: Rate my bone!
If that's FM8, that's freakin incredible. Though the fast legato part without "portamento" around :41 is probably only possible by the best tbone players.

Re: Rate my bone!
Yea, FM8 alright.. just made it in the past hours. Just 2 ops for the basic sound, 2 ops for some rough fast vibrations/flutter, a filter and some effects. 80% of the sound is just fine tweaking of the mod matrix, scaling and other things, to make it playable.
And the playing is just me playing the keys. Using velocity, and pitchbend for the cresc/decresc. So yes, it's a piano line, anyway, it's about the sound. I got the same playability remark from a real bone player (who thought it was based on a bass trombone).

Re: Rate my bone!
That synth is crazy, I have played around with it for some time, just as a part of school, but I´m really amazed, though I´m digging the dx7. But your patch sounds really good
I need to get that Fm-8 in a full version.

Re: Rate my bone!
Wow =) sounds great. How close could a DX 7 get to that patch?

Re: Rate my bone!
tnx all \o/
As for the DX7, here is the same sound without the FM8-effects.
Quite a shock eh!
50% of FM8's might lies in the effects section.
Tonight a new remix up, I think.. a very mighty one!

Still sounds pretty realistic on the DX7

Re: Rate my bone!
Mayhaps I've given the impression that the second mp3 was a DX7.. it was -naturally- the same FM8 sound but without effects section. New remix (which includes these bones, and more) on its way, will go live probably in about 8 hours - when I switch it from private to public. 32 instances throwing a wall of sound at ya that'll knock you out of your socks..Z wrote:Still sounds pretty realistic on the DX7

Re: Rate my bone!
Very nice. I see that you have a FS1R and FM8, as do I. It's odd how I still use both all the time, they feel like two totally different synths to me...which doesn't make sense.
