+1 on the Synplant. Fantastic plugin, great for all kinds of sounds, from weird to bizzare.. All other mentioned are nice too, depends on what you want.

Edit: Aha, you said "preferably 808, 909 style. " d16 and adm then.. Drumatic 3 and drumatic VE are also quite nice (and free), drumatic 3 is really versatile.
