You get your choice of 6 sample expansions and there new(ish) Sample tank XT 2.5 ( I think took over for LE ? )

Wow, that seems like an awesome deal... So, what's the quality like? I already have NI Kontakt 4, anything to gain here?

Quality ... is subjective as they are all super clean digital waveforms these days .
I think it come down to a matter of taste really ....
as far as a contrast goes I have Battery 3 for example but hated all the acustic and rock type kits but the IK ones sound great to me are they better ? Or do they just appel to me more ? probably the latter . NI's Kontact is probably the best or at least most versatile sampler on the market , however if you want a much simpler rompler with way more than a hardware rompler has to offer and loads much faster than Kontact 4 for some meat and potato sounds then look no further

My experience comes from the older sample tank 2 libraries from a few years back . I think when it comes to strings and such K4 with it's scripts has it beat there , however the acoustic guitar sounds pretty sweet too .

Great, thanks for the input. So, is there a catch here? I don't need anything by them from before; i just pay 50 bucks for one package, and I get 6 more + the sampler for free? All downloadable?

That seams to be my understanding . You buy one of what they call " multi boxes " then after your account is set up ( you have to set it up by buying something through the store 1st ) then you get the free Sample tank 2 XT player / plugin ... it's the same as the full version , but with far less sample data . The in promos you get to pick and download . The direction are all there on the page better than I can explain it . The only I guess you can call it a catch is they are only available to download for 30 days . So back em up .

Yea the group buy is a great thing . I did one with d16 awhile back and got there 808/909/303 for like less then the price of one . Ik did a great implementation of this too I get a rompler workstation with my choice of sounds and they sold up to almost a quarter million dollars in sample tank products in a 2 month period . Win=Win I say . I hope more of these catch on with other dev's I mean the data is hard to ignore for them and the deals are hard for us to beat .

I was just checking out their site. But which exact extra packages are available from esoundz? Also; my friend mentioned the sample packs from esounds were slightly different than those from IK Multimedia, is this correct or did I misunderstand him?

The 7x1 titles ( soon to be 8x1) are all Xpansion tank packs downloaded from IKmultimedia in sampletank format, the extra eSounds packs are various Sonic Reality soundpacks some of which are in RAw sample format (apple loops,wav loops or REx files)which can be used anyway you like and are downloaded from Sonic Reality, and just announced on the KVR forum Sonic reality are going to include yet another additional 1Gb "widcard" mixed sound pack and some discount vouchers for other products.A bargain which ever way you look at it.

So, any opinions on which packs to get? I'm a bit hesitant to pick up the instrument packs, as I already have Kontakt 4, but I'm also in doubt as to wether I'll have any use at all for the loop libraries.

Any ideas?
