Albino Bassline programming question

I'm using albino 3 and here's my question.

I'm used to using my EM1 to create basslines. I'd pick the saw wave, mess with the slope and glide control and close the filter and it was pretty easy to get a nice pumping sort of psy / trance bassline.

I try doing the same thing in Ablbino, using one oscillator and all I can seem to get is this really wet bassy sound with the filter closed. I've adjusted the ADSR but I either get a click or a wet sound.

Hey Metro, good to see you. I have both Albino 2 and upgraded to 3, but for some reason I find myself using Albino 2 more, could be I prefer the interface better.
Anyway, I have more of a suggestion rather than an answer, and that is, have you gone through the presets to see if there is a patch similar to what you are trying to get? that way you can see what settings Rob used, and edit from there.
Also, the obvious, effects off?

Sorry if these seem obvious, just throwing ideas out there.

I luvz Albino. :giveheart:

If you want a psy-type plucky bassline, here's a good start:

1. One osc, set to saw
2. Set amplitude ADSR to full sustain, 0 for everything else
3. Close the filter fully, no resonance
4. Adjust filter envelope amount to taste (+60 or so should work)
5. Set filter ADSR to no attack, no sustain, no release, and add some decay to open up the filter

You'll want to play with the filter envelope amount, filter envelope decay, and filter cutoff to adjust to taste. You may also want to mess with the attack settings of the amp and filter envs to remove any clicks you might be getting

I made a quick patch using the above principles. Should get you started:

I like to mix a bit of subtle sub-sine oscillator in there too. barely audible, it just adds a tiny bit more low end.
