So anyone at this point able to confirm that this ipad synth is well worth the price tag? I know right now its only $15, while they plan to up that price after the 15th...so I'm curious right now if I should pick it up while it's on sale...

I just browsed quickly today through the latest FM, and the iMS-20 got raving reviews; both a "value award" and "platinum award" (I think it was. at least).
Umm, are you seriously thinking it may not be worth it for the money? :?

My brother owns it and I've been playing with it for many times. If you already have an iPad, I would say that this app worth much more than it's price. I love almost anything about it. Hardly wish for another 1 or 2 monosynth parts though, even with simpler engine like the DS-10. But this video I saw on matrixsynth, made me thinking to get an iPad for the software.

I got the iPad ms20 and it's ok,but not great.

The problem I have is that the interface is too damn small, and IMO the iPad is suited to virtual sliders, not knobs. I know it's an emulation, right down to the interface but, I thought a nice solution could be for a 'ghost slider' to appear when you put your finger down. I hated turning virtual knobs with a mouse and I hate virtual knobs on the iPad. A vertical motion is a h**l of a lot simpler to execute on a screen with the fingers rather than a circle.

Look at instruments like MorphWiz, SynthX, and SampleWiz. Much easier to control, and far more fun to use.

You do realise there is a linear or rotary option don't you ?

I agree with it been a bit small though, I can hardly read it sometimes.

Still a great app though, wish Id bought it before I wasted my cash on the very disappointing iElectribe

I just got an ipad an bought the ims-20. I think it's a great toy. I haven't really used the sequenzer, as I'm most into exploring sounds. I have the original MS-20 and I kinda use the ims to get ideas and get creative making sounds i could use on the original.

As for the sound I think the ims doesn't quite sound like the original, but certainly has the character of the sound. It sounds more clear and refined and has snappier envelopes that the original. The original is more 'alive' and analog sounding.

It's worth every penny.

My second favorite iPad synth (after Animoog, of course).

I thought the seq was just 3ch until NOW! It's actually 11 channels (2ch for vol/pan mode) and mod source even has VCO wave or effect type! This app is rather really deep to use every bit of it...

Wow, this is sick. I will probably buy an Ipad at some point just to get this.

Haha, buy an ipad for the same price as you'd get a used MS-20 :P

You haven't been able to get an MS-20 for the price of an iPad since the days of the first iPods.
