The Line Six interface only officially supports backing up sysex and recording sequences within their own application as of right now, and even if it becomes open source, there's still no software implementation within the Korg app to support MIDI.
sure, but it is also supported by at least (that I know of) nlog and the s1 midi trigger (like touchosc but directly midi) at least. I think it's only a matter of time before some MIDI I/O is added to Korg's apps.

I mean, they made a wireless sync for the DS-10. Obviously they understand the importance of an interconnected studio here.
TouchOSC is definitely nice, but it'd be great for the developers, especially as large as Korg, to get on the ball of possibly making a MIDI interface. In fact, it's weird that Line Six was the first company to do it of all people... As for the wireless sync for the DS-10, that's something I did not know; how cool!
bonne chance

I went to Korg's website and followed the link to the App store. Got it and iElectribe (on sale for $10 until Nov. 16).

Only got to mess with it for about 15 minutes last night. FUN! Kinda tough to get exact tweaks on the knobs. Guess it takes some getting used to.

the zoom in helps. odd how when running a sequence there's a lock on the filter but not on any other settings... haven't read anything yet but am hoping there's some way to turn that off...

How would that work? The standard ipod/phone/pad connector to USB is not the same sort of male connector that most USB controllers have on the back. They have the half stop-sign female as opposed to the sort of rectangle ports that most computers have.

think he's talking about them transmitting midi to other apps, not a controller transmitting to them.

Damn not sure I can wait much longer for a Rev2 iPad :o
iMS20 looks great . As far as no midi goes ...well iOS4.2 will have full core midi soon so maybe the iMS20 has an update in the wings ?

On another note
I would like to see IAC or Rewire make it in to the os eventually too so you could sync apps .

On another note that is somewhat hopeful / Sad / Funny - seams korg have learned that super tiny is not always the way to go as they didn't try to cram this in the iPhone .
Some wish to leave their mark ... I want to leave a scar .

That's the same dev behind the DS-10 and the M01. So re: that, I dont think it has anything to do with the Legacy version.

I can answer my own question. Apparently Apple makes an adapter that allows for USB connection to the iPad for camera connectivity. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC531ZM/A There's a video up on Matrixsynth right now showing a beta test using an Oxygen 49 into the iPad.

Wow, that's awesome! But no similar product for the iPhone/iPod Touch?

As someone who has longed for touch control of VST emulations of classic analogs, this seems like it was done right from a UI perspective in the YouTube videos I've seen.
