Korg DS-10

Im presuming this goes in software not hardware.
I just picked it up for $27 AUD, its actually not a half bad synth, for a ds.

I don't know how they packed all those features and sound on that little card.

It's awesome. Do you have the + version or the original?

Me too the original one. Here ya go:

Having a go with the Korg DS-10. The first song is called F-Stop, the second is a version of Blue Monday. The last bit is a single pattern bastard where I'm un-muting tracks and using the Kaoss function on synths 1 and 2.

don't you get two more synth parts on the XL version?

the DS is awesome and well worth the cost of a DS alone

Thanks! Yep, that one was especially good therapy. The DS can get some dirty filthy sickness all day long. I still can't believe how crispy and in-your-face the drums are straight out of the box. All I did was record directly into garageband.

The DS-10 cartridge is amazing fun! Super grime bass lines and pretty cool FX for 8 bit chip tune leads and beats! I have the original too and wonder what's different on the + version.

two extra synth parts although I believe you have to have a newer DS for this as it has ram or something

Yeah I think the + version is double the amount of synth parts and double the amount of drum parts, but you have to have the DS-i

Ahhh, I see! Well h**l, I'd better get a DSi then lol! Korg is awesome for putting these carts out for the DS series. Truly sick little beasts that make your DS or DSi all that much better to mess with! What other 8 bit music items do you guys own? Any of you have an Atari 2600 with the synthcart? That thing makes some amazing bass lines and killer lead loops as well as percussion loops. Also maybe someone can confirm this for me but I've heard of people modding their PSPs into sound modules like the Atari 2600s. Any truth to that?

I think I remember reading you need a Japanese Nintendo console to get all the features of the Plus version?
Either that, or you can only use it on a Japanese DSi because they have region locking or something?
(Not sure.)
