Favorite Analog Software Synth?
I haven't recorded with software synths in probably 6 years. What's the best sounding analog software synth these days?

Non. There are no analog software synths. Period.
Software is digital. You can emulate analog in digital, but it is still digital.

Re: Favorite Analog Software Synth?
If you want a software synth that sounds like analog you should try Image-Line PoiZone, it is the best analog emulation softsynth I have tried. I give it my warmest recommandations and can send you some nice patches if you decide to try it.Erotic Cabaret wrote:I haven't recorded with software synths in probably 6 years. Obviously I know none of them sound truly analog, but I'm just talking about the ones that try to...
Line PoiZone, I'll check it out.

I like Analog in Live 8 which was based on the physical modelling of Ultra Analog by AAS.

Re: Favorite Analog Software Synth?
As far as I can tell there is only one soft synth called Analog, so it must be the best.

haha..won't call it the best, but there's something about the way it sounds that just click with my current music and workflow.Stab Frenzy wrote:As far as I can tell there is only one soft synth called Analog, so it must be the best.

Yeah I'm quite enjoying using it lately too, it integrates really well with Live's layout and in my opinion sounds really good.

Yes, it sounds very good. I enjoy to use freeze when they're clips, it really helps the processor and faster to work with rather than freezing the whole track.Stab Frenzy wrote:Yeah I'm quite enjoying using it lately too, it integrates really well with Live's layout and in my opinion sounds really good.
