My fav analog-style plugin has to be WOW timewarp 2600 that I found for $60 on clearance at GC. Arturia has one now, and what I've heard and demo-ed of theirs sounds pretty good to me. If you're into tr-boxes I'm liking the D16 stuff.

Olga, Fabfilter One/Twin, U-he Zebra 2 are all very nice sounding synths that work within an analog paradigm (zebra goes beyond, but only if you want it to)

If you have a nice computer with cpu power to burn, go for fxpansion synth squad... If that doesn't make your computer sweat you could even go for U-He's ACE - ACE sounded good enough that I was willing to buy it even though it was practically a monosynth on my dual core laptop... But I've since upgraded to a hex-core thuban desktop and now I use it a lot more regularly.

Synth Squad by FXpansion is excellent. The is an outfit called Xils that makes a great VCS3 clone.

NI have a new synth program coming out, though I don't know if you'd call it an analog emulation or not. Here's the sneak peek video: http://www.sonicstate.com/news/2011/03/ ... nstrument/

I'm sorry but I'm not a fan of Poi-Zone and I don't really care for uhe ACE either. I am backing those that mentioned Ableton's Analog instrument. I use it a ton in my work flow as well. It's not analog perfect obviously being software but it does get quite close to the real deal.

I'm currently demo'ing Loomer's Aspect synth. Semi modular, no effects, very simple layout. Sounds good too (as always beware the presets!). Might even buy this one, and I believe there's an update coming soon.

It's an additive synth built with Reaktor. Very far from analogue, quite digital but cool sounding. More info on Razor here

If one likes the sound of Ableton Live's Analog synth but wants something to use outside of Live, check out the Ultra Analog synth from the same developers.

Indeed, Ableton and AAS share several of the synth engines. Tension was based on the String Studio and Electric was based on Lounge Lizard. If they include Strums and Tassman in the new update, my Live would be complete.

I like the Arturia stuff, particularly the Moog Modular & Arp 2600.

I also particularly like Tassman 4, GMedia's MiniMonsta & Korg's MonoPoly.
