Just tested DIVA, and well, not being an U-He fan, I can say:
DIVA is the first soft synth that I *FEEL*.
It's alive, it gives my computer an aura, it's amazing. It touches my soul, my heart.
There is nothing computer based close to this, nothing I came across so far.
I'll buy it soon.

thinking about getting a new imac in the near future, and want to get Diva eventually, too. how bad would it own my CPU? I'm using a computer now that doesn't really take the arturia stuff really well, so i'd be curious how a new computer would do.

These two statements are contradictory. How can you claim "that DIVA is the most authentic emulation of analog synthesis to date" and not compare it to real analog, which by definition is hardware?

Which of course further begs the question, how much experience do those singing the praises of DIVA have with real analog synths? Do you own any? Modern or vintage? How long have you owned them?

I have no horse in this race (in general I like U-he's stuff) but the thread kinda reminds me of the discussions on Hammond organ emulations. Oftentimes the people claiming such-and-such is the best have never laid hands on a real Hammond organ.
