Favorite IOS Synths

Admittedly the older i get the slower i am to adapt to change. I got a Ipad 3 a while ago and never thought of it in a music making context until this week when i was at GC and saw a Irig midi interface hanging on the wall and realized i could use it with my ipad. So on a whim i bought it and started researching IOS synths. Big mistake!! I have lost days so far playing with all these amazing new apps (well new to me). I may be a little late to the game but i guess better late than never. :P
Anyways i'm trying to figure it all out and deside what will work best and how i can make best use of it. I'm overwhelmed and a little confused by all the choices. So far i have bought a few cool apps and would love to discover more and hear from others on what they are using and really like.

So far i have these:
AniMoog (Very cool indeed!!)
TC-11 (OMFG! Amazing!)
Sunrizer (Very cool)
Samplr (Loving it!)
iMPC (Sweet!)
Garage Band (Very cool)
Alchemy (Nice!)
Akai Synthstation (crashes more than it works)
Sampletank Free (havent used it much yet but seems cool)

Not a synth (technically), but a drum machine: DM-1

No votes for Magellan, iMS-20 or Nlog?

I listed iMS-20 above. And yes, Magellan rocks! I'll check out Nlog.

I haven't tried that many, but Magellan is definitely my favourite iOS synth. Samplr is wicked fun, but so far I've been using it just to toy around. But yeah, Magellan. Sounds good, sequencer, bi-timbral, nice control options, Core Midi I/O.. I likes.

DM-1 is great as well, with Core Midi it'd be fantastic.

Wow thanks for all the suggestions guys! I just added Magellan , Moog Filtatron, Audiobus and Midi Bridge and the IRig audio interface . :guitar: That about taps me out for a little while but the Korg and PPG stuff & Beatmaker 2 is next on the list.

I was looking at Peter Vogel Fairlight app too but most of the reviews i have read on it seem to suggest its not worth the loot. Anyone tried it yet? Man I think im gonna need another Ipad with more space pretty soon too 16 GB is going fast.

My favorites are the AniMoog and the Korg synths. I also really like the DXi FM synth, all though I wish someone would make a 6-OP FM synth. I try not to download to many synths for the ios, and focus on a few good ones.

That's a good thing. I used to pirate all kinds of VST synths on my PC until the cows came home. There were private torrent websites with hundreds of the things from all developers.

Problem is that I sat there with a harddrive full of VSTi's that I never used for anything but install, check a few presets and leave it at that. Slimming down to just a few gives you limitations, and that's a good thing. It forces you to really learn instead of just hopping to the next one.

Kind of like learning to dive into the menus on an 80s digital synth instead of just buying a different 80s synth when you get bored of the presets.

Ahh the heck with it who needs to buy food? I just added NLog Pro , Sound Prism Pro , LoopyHD, DM-1 and Figure. Any recommendations for a good DAW besides Garage Band?
