I'd rather use TouchAble than a Lemur, and a fraction of the price.

I found a lemur for $500. That s the only reason I ask I know they're usually a lot more. I figure its about the same price as an apc40 or push and a little more reliable than an iPad

The software has been available for an ipad for awhile now.

I don't mean the software reliability, more the iPad potentially crashing during a preformance. (I know that can happen with any peice of gear and tons of people use ipads in the studio and live)
And I will probably use an iPad, BUT I want to use it for Animoog and a few others. And instead of buying another iPad I figure it would be better to get a lemur

I've never had my iPad crash while I've been controlling live with it. Why do you think it's more likely to crash than a lemur?

Ok that's good to know. But regardless, we (my bandmate and I) at some point will want a controller for each of us and the lemur comes out cheaper than buying a second iPad, io dock and apps. And I also like that lemur is a little bigger. And these things don't pop up to often so if its going to still work with newer software (live 9) id like to snatch it now.

I'm waiting for the LiveControl 2 template for the Lemur iPad app. Seems to be shaping up pretty well, but no release date as of yet...
