I dunno how I missed this! Went completely under the radar, thanks.

Has anyone done a JX-3p VST yet?

Can anyone recommend some good patch banks for this?

I just googled "PG8x Patches" and a bunch of stuff came up. For example:

Watch on youtube.com
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

PG8X is by far the closest out of the two. I played my JX8P side by side and there was little difference. If anything the plugin sounded better because the chorus is smoother and less noisey, however the real thing does seem to have a bit more low end although I haven't really had any patches to compare with. I did try the other plugin (Manx) though and thought it was good but didn't realise it was trying to emulate the JX8P, thought it was more on the MKS80 tip.
