Cheers JJ, that's cool. I was scanning through all the posts in this thread last night at warp speed & may have misunderstood some old conversations. Just wanted to double check & say hi.

Will keep an eye on the thread. Thanks for replying & merry Xmas.

Hi! Just found this thread, headed over to the website and registered. I'd like to buy two cards when they're available again.

I went on and completely did a thing today and bought a Roland D-50 and stumbled on this thread by chance and also registered my interest in buying a card or two. I really, really hope they are put back in stock as I'm super interested in them.

Was just reading about how MRAM works. It is pretty amazing materials technology. Similar in operation to magnetic core memory from early computing days. Very cool!

Hey guys, any news? I’m desperate for one of these and was broke the first time they went on sale. Been signed up to the wait list for ages, but haven’t heard any updates. Just curious how things are progressing (or not)! :)

"or not" is the correct one. Real life is just keeping us busy right now. ;)

Still very keen as this card sounds so good - I have a JD990 and the idea of expanding it's capacity after 25 years is brilliant.

On a related note, I stumbled upon this thread the other day about the risks of a capacitor exploding on SRJV boards. Apparently Roland has issued a warning about the use of these boards. As I have one in a JD990 and some in a 5080 so it looks like some work is needed.

Hey! Thank you for this information as I was not aware of this! I have 28 of these cards in use... I've ordered some replacement capacitors today. I have some work to do!

I wondered if Dojoe or JoJo could say when these will be available to purchase again? I'm interested in buying one as soon as they're available! Brilliant design gentlemen-- I can't wait to buy one.

No, if our status would have changed we would have updated the thread - we cannot tell you yet when the next batch will be available.

There's another batch of cards in the pipeline at the moment, but as jojo pointed out, we cannot give you any dates yet. Don't spend all your money on other things yet though ;)

I registered because I found this thread pretty interesting! I was wondering if it is possible to recreate a multibank card for an MC-909. I know they use those 128MB 3.3v Smartmedia Cards.

Technically it is very certainly possible (SmartMedia is similarly "dumb" like earlier card storage), but it is most definitely out of scope for our own projects. (And while I do have a couple of synths with SmartMedia, a 128MB card is more than enough for my usage.)
If you are worried about SmartMedia cards getting rare, you may want to look into a SmartMedia to xD adapter. They are very cheap, and 128MB xD cards are both easier to find and cheaper than SmartMedia cards.
