Hey, thanks for volunteering. Unfortunately, I might not have enough beta cards left to get you one for testing, but I'll get back to you if things turn out otherwise.

That being said, the cards do work in the MX-1000 so I'm optimistic they'll work in yours too :)

So far, so good. The card is working with synths.

Peavey Tubefex is another story. I don't know why. It's using M256 cards. It has no problem recognizing memory card made from ʝɵʝɵ's originated schematics

Hey, thanks heaps for the testing, and also for the photos! :D The GR-50 will make a nice new addition to my compatibility chart! \o/

Too bad about the Tubefex though :-( How willing are you to break out a scope and multimeter and investigate? ;)

I can try. Depends on my free time, so it might take some time.

I will also check your card with my Roland PM-16, Pad to MIDI interface. It uses M-128 cards, so I think it should work.

Very cool project! I'd love to purchase one once you've finalized them.

I just discovered Vintage Synth Explorer and read all 19 pages about your work on the project. Very exciting stuff. Congratulations on your fine work. Best of luck with the project, and with the production phase.

btw. Please most certainly put me on the waiting list. I have a JD-800

Wonderful project. I too am interested in at least one of these cards. Have both a Roland D-550 and a JV-1080.

Aw, too bad :( I guess things like wiggling the card or using a bit more force didn't help? According to the manual, the PM-16 needs an M-128 or higher, so your M-256 configuration should work fine. The manual says to insert the card until you hear a click -- I wonder if there's a mechanical problem preventing my card from being inserted all the way.

Either way, thanks for trying this out! If you don't want to probe further after what you went through with your Tubefex, you have my full sympathy ;)

Speaking of which, did it come back to life?

Any release date of the final product yet? I currently also have a Roland A-90 available for testing (uses M-512 memory cards).

Cheers,
GJ.

I had to take a pretty long hiatus due to the day job being super demanding lately, but that's just in the process of petering down again and I started getting the layout ready for the production run. Unfortunately, that means I'm certainly going to miss my own goal of being ready this Christmas, and I'm sorry for that :(

That said, early next year could work.

Much appreciated and I do understand the fine balance between work and free time. On the up side: I don't have a boring day in my life :)
