Congratulations, I know very well how hard it is to follow through such a project up to the end, it's always far more work than envisioned initially, but you made it! =D>

Aaaaand we're live! \o/

Aaaand we're live!

The wait is finally over - we're ready to take your orders at https://sagamusix.de/other/roland_memory_cards/ :D

I have about 70 cards completed with another ~30 to go and ~10 awaiting repair before they're ready to ship - for a total of 114 cards.

The cards will cost 79€, shipping will be between 5€ and 40€ depending on where you are and whether you want insured shipping.

Orders will be processed in the order they arrive. There is no maximum quantity, but if you order more than three cards I might ask you whether you're serious ;) When you receive an invoice from me, cards have been reserved for you and will be shipped once I receive your payment. Once stock runs low, I might retract invoices if they're not paid within seven weekdays to free up cards for others, so better pay up :P I'm running this as a side gig, so please allow a few days for processing orders and shipping - that said, I'm going to be as fast as I can, modulo weekends.
Question wrote:I want the card for Christmas! When should I order at the latest?
If you live inside the EU, we have enough trust in our shipping system that if you order by Dec 13 and pay the invoice by Dec 14, we can ship on Dec 15 and you'll get your parcel in time. If you live outside the EU, right now would be a good time ;)

For any further info (including a small Manual and FAQ), head on over to the order page: https://sagamusix.de/other/roland_memory_cards/

Order away!
*ducks and prepares for the torrent of orders*

We've come a long way...

First and latest revision, as well as a custom, unique case that is not for sale. ;)
I'm still using that first revision card with its botch wires (which doesn't work on all devices that the new card works with, in case you forgot why we didn't start selling these three years ago ;)) all the time.

Does the card come "naked" like that, or will there be some sort of covering? I don't expect to remove the card very much, but will it be well-protected when left in the slot, especially when it comes to transporting a D-50 (i.e. gigs)?
What does it look like when it's fully inserted in a D-50?

The card comes in a standard static protection bag to avoid electrostatic discharge, which you can also use for keeping the card safe while it's not in the device. Whether it can remain in your D-50 during transportation depends a bit on the means of transportation I guess; if you use a flightcase, it can most likely stay in the device - I have done this with my flightcase before - but if you merely use a gig bag, I would probably prefer to keep it separate. And of course this also depends a bit on the way your flightcase is designed. It might work in mine but not in yours.

Here's also a small video demonstrating the bank switching process, and copying data to a previously unused bank ("Illegal Card") on the D-50: https://sagamusix.de/other/roland_memor ... ng_d50.mp4 [25 MB]
Maybe it's helpful to some people. :)

If you're still pondering whether you want a card from the first batch, you should better hurry. Just saying. ;)

Whoa, yep, you gals and guys are killing us! 100 of 120 cards sold over the weekend

I'm going to hold off on sending out invoices for the time being, until I know how many working cards I have after I finish assembling the last ones tonight. I'll have to rework a couple of cards (about ten, most of which got hit by The Glue Incident ) -- I'll do that over the weekend, so I'll send out another small round of invoices next week.

The feedback we're getting on this is amazing, thank you for being such a supportive community!
