this is pretty serious.. so i just got my hands on a zoom 9030 off ebay that was said is good.. but when i got it, i saw it wasn't.. thankfully the seller was honorable and refunded the money for it, but yep.. capacitor leaked all over the dsp board and sure enough the liquid in one of the capacitors dissolved the contacts of neighboring effect chips. an otherwise working unit rendered severely damaged by a single bad capacitor.

I guess the best message I can say is "if you cherish something and it's pretty old, consider taking it somewhere to get the caps replaced"..
