Anyone have the old AKAI S5000/S6000 samples that were free?

There are lots of forums posts which allude to, or contain links to an AKAI hosted ftp from about 2000-2005 which stored some sample sets for the S5000 / S6000.

I was able to find a set of only the Splendid Grand Piano but it had been converted to SF2. I was hoping someone here might have it in Akai format.

If anyone has these old AKAI sound libraries kicking around still please let me know. I'd love to use and hear some of these. I'm interested in non AKAI libraries too.

Hey guys , I know this is an old thread, I was away for a long time, but I just settled back in a new home.
I am pretty sure that I have the 2cds that came with my S5000, I just have to do some digging in order to find them.
If you are still interested let me know!

I have a folder called Akai_ftp that has all I could get from there back in 2002.

It has a POP_PIANO.zip, which is a useable but very much 'of it's time' piano sound.

Also in the KEYBOARD.zip there's a 'D.piano C0.wav' etc that sounds more like a CP70 electric grand, and isn't too shabby used in a track.

The whole archive is under 220megs, I'm pretty sure I got everything there was at the time, but it was a while ago. Who knows what was added after that.

So here's what I have , one zip with the original 125 zips in it -

https://www52.zippyshare.com/v/WhgiHbT4/file.html

Each zip has a folder containing the wav files you can use anywhere and AKM and AKP file for the akai samplers.

From what I recall , both cds had Piano samples and one was called Pop , as Ruinbird mentioned.
I ll be able to dig it in the weekend, if I find anything missing from ruinbirds upload, I will share it too.

RuinBird / Yekuku

many thanks for posting those Akai samples... they're fantstic and have givena bit of life to my old sampler.

I'm scrounging for any old sample that i might have (nothing to post so far) but I have planned to sample a big selection of chimes, bells and gongs that a friend's wife uses in her yoga classes... they sound amazing (especially the chimes... really deep and rich) ... I probably won't be able to sample them for another week or two but once I do, I'll be happy to share them either as a raw sample for you to play with or as an .akp file.

I'll post back here again when they're ready and we can work out the nuts and bolts of how to share them.

You can see how much memory and sampling came on in a few years between my circa 2002 downloads and what Yekuku posted.

Now I think about it, what I downloaded might just have been a sub directory for the MPC samplers on that ftp site. And took days to get it all, bit by bit.
