creating patch/sample from mp3?

Post by mikepctvman » Wed Mar 20, 2019 3:12 pm

Hi everyone, I have a Korg M1, still learning how to use. I have figured out how to load .sysex and .midi patches via midi interface wire using Bome SendSyx on my PC. question is, I discovered a sound I really like in a audio file (mp3) i wanna know if its possible to get that sound, convert it and get it onto my M1. the sound I want is only about a second or two long, if that matters. any info would be great :)

No, you can’t put samples directly into the M1.

There are some ways you can get devices to write samples to PCM cards, but it’s not trivial or cheap.
