Ensoniq EPS Floppy drive simulator

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to find up-to-date recommendations in terms of replacing the Floppy drive in my Ensoniq EPS with something like a flash drive of some sorts (USB-drive, SD Card etc).

Can anyone point in the direction of something that is known to work, along with the steps required?

I'm currently talking with a guy here in Denmark who has a GoTek drive for sale, and he confirmed that this is working with the EPS, so I'll probably go with that.

It has to either have HxC or FlashFloppy installed to work properly with Ensoniq. HxC is the better option for Ensoniq because FlashFloppy has to be be properly configured to recognize diskchanges with the EPS. A lot of people have FlashFloppy based emulators which will boot on EPS, but will fail most of the time when selecting a new disk.

It can be fixed easily enough, but just something of which to be wary.

Thanks. What does this mean, more specifically? Is it a firmware that must be flashed onto the drive's eeprom? How is it fixed, just in case?

HxC and FlashFloppy are both replacements for the factory firmware of the Gotek. Either offers much better compatibility and open up the possibility of hardware add-ons for an improved user experience such as rotary selector knob, and OLED display.

HxC is a pay license, but FlashFloppy is free to install and use.

The download below should give you everything needed to get the original EPS working properly with FlashFloppy. The disk images will also work with HxC, but HxC doesn't need the special configuration files as the latest HxC firmware can be set to the proper interface/disk types very easily using its internally stored configuration menu (accessed using button combinations).
