Where to buy Emulator II sounds?

Post by plat4m » Wed Dec 09, 2020 11:56 pm

Whew...today I fulfilled a long cherished childhood dream of an Emulator II.
Unbelievable that I can still experience this :-)
It has a floppy disk emulator and can read FAT32 formatted sounds from USB sticks.

But: unfortunately it came with practically no useful sounds :-(

Does anyone have any idea how and where I can buy readable sounds from USB sticks?
My favourite ones are Depeche Mode sounds, Liquid Stack, etc. ...

I am grateful for every hint!

There's a guy in the UK selling sound libraries on memory cards for the HXC disk replacement on eBay.

User name is motyer6.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.

I'm guessing you need sounds in .hfe format to use with your HxC USB reader. Someone will probably already have the factory libraries in this format if you enquire on the EMU & Emax fb group. Otherwise, you could convert yourself from the original Sound Designer format. Liquid Stack is in the OMI 1 or 3 library called Expensive Synth Stack (from memory).

I supply my own EII custom banks (not factory) in Sound Designer format only. EMXP is your friend for conversions.
