Nice topic, will keep a look out for more links.

That Emax demo is great, I do fancy one of those with an extensive original library.

Edit > Two more demo's of the EII (include these above if you want, if so, I'll delete here):

Regarding E-mu samplers: EIII forum (which covers both EI, EII and EIII) has almost no demo what I know of. Same with Emulator archive. An EI-demo could be a hot one :)

Regarding user groups like Yahoo: I´m a member only on two sampler-groups, so there´s possibly more demo-files in other groups.

JMP, that's an awesome Emulator II demo!!!

Love the "Legend voices" :D

Cheers ! I once poorly sampled that sound from the CD into a looped Soundfont many years ago... Couldn't quite believe it when discovered in the EII library in far better looped quality. The shakahuchi at the start of that album is also there.

The best one discovered though was almost all the sounds making up the track 'Dreams' by Ultravox. Not sure if this is in the library though, it was on a 5.25" floppy I bought in a collection a while ago. :)

Hi JMP. I heard these demos once before but I thought they were demos of a vintage synth collection. But there are indeed Emulator sounds as well. Here it is: http://www.zero-g.co.uk/index.cfm?articleid=916

Hi,

I have to look at all these videos.

What would be a cool thing is that a sound file would be taken as a reference and uploaded here. Then it would be played by each of these samplers owned by this forum's users, and then recorded back as MP3/OGG/FLAC files. I'm sure that all samplers are owned by at least one member of VintageSynth. Thus, we can compare the difference of each sampler's sounding, including the filters and effects. I can't try all the existing samplers, so before I decide to buy one, I can hear how it sounds and if it is what I look for.
