Re: Korg Micro Sampler
Heres a new, cool video by a japanese dude named "jet"....He's sampling, chopping, playing chords and having what looks like a buttload of fun on the micro. Cant wait to get my hands on one of these babies:

And another, with some guy jamming on the microsamplers sequencer...sounds pretty damn good:

Re: Korg Micro Sampler
Yeah, the idea of putting together a drum kit on a sampler always seemed like it'd a be a tedious chore. But that last video I watched makes it look like a cinch on this thing.
And all the big-box music stores are stocking it, so I could get it on 12-month financing. Hmm...anybody want to buy an A-3000?

Re: Korg Micro Sampler
I was amped about the news of this and now seeing the vids I am very skeptic. If it is close to a thosand dollars then for that price a used mpc1000 or 2000lx would be better for sampling. This thing looks like is a toy compared to the mpc as a seq/sampler. Dont get me wrong I love korg but it seems there is something amiss about this. I dont know ? ? I got try one out somewhere then maybe I wount be so skeptic .

Re: Korg Micro Sampler
Oh 500.00 thats reasonable. For that price it is good in the least for all the sample time you get. Im wonderring how the close the samples will sound to source processed threw this on playback? Still skeptic. I realy got to mess with one at my local store before i can make judgement.I dont need a portable sampler but if someone did it looks like this is fun no doubt.I was very excited about dis even though I swear by the mpc. I will give it a try this sunday it does look fun and fast.

Careful now, don't let the villagers hear tale of thoughts like that.computron wrote:I realy got to mess with one at my local store before i can make judgement.

Re: Korg Micro Sampler
And what happens if you like it? You'll want one, and then another, and another. Next you'll be hiding them in cupboards from family and not socialising with friends. Give in to that thought and you're as good as dead

Re: Korg Micro Sampler
I saw one today; it is absolutely tiny. The pictures and video footage simply do not prepare you for how cute-as-a-button miniscule it is. Alas, I haven't a use for one (and even if I did, funds don't allow it at the moment), but it looks fun, capable, and I'm sure someone is going to use it to make a catchy, worthy song that will lead me to bang my head against the wall in abject frustration at my own lack of productivity.
