Can't honestly say that I have, but some of their recent products had deep price cuts which I would guess would be because of poor sales. Did they really think people would line up to pay $650 for the MicroX? Not trying to bash Korg. I like the Electribe line, the Microkorg, the Kaoss Pads, etc.

maybe... there's not that much competition w/ modern synth keyboards in that price range... $400 for the microkorg & micron, jumps to $500 for the XL & miniac, then $600 for the SH-201 & R3... that's about it below $700.

i just imagine there are absolutely tons of DJ/musician wannabee types out there w/ an electribe or some kaoss pad keeping korg aok financially...

edit: has korg even gone public? goofy but i bought 25 shares of apple back in 98 and wish i'd bought 100x that :D
hey jered, go public w/ future retro, i'd buy in. :thumbleft:

Im not sure the exact street release date, but Im pretty sure that the box their handling in that video is nothing more than vaporware. Hopefully they'll add a pitch and mod wheel, and change the bland appearance of the interface before release :?

no pitch wheel? no mod wheel? DIALS? what is this, 1969? it looks like a sampler designed by the Apollo Program engineers.

That microSAMPLER seems to have a pattern sequencer... I'm curious about it.

There are different "sampling types", I can see:
"Loop"
"One shot"
"Gate"
"Auto next"
The last one I can't make out. Anyone?

And there's also a pattern sequencer - "lenght" and "quantize" it seems to be + two more options.
There's also a goosneck mic and what seems to be a manual. Maybe it can be downloaded somewhere?
I think it actually looks kinda cool.

what a shocker, VSE users bitching about a piece of gear that isn't even available for purchase.

It reminds me of the yamaha cs01. Seriously your angry about the visual aesthetics? From the looks of it they'll hopefully won't be using the shitty pots that where featured on the ESX. I think its a rather neat idea, aside from the V-synth has anyone released a sampling keyboard that wasn't a workstation in the past 5 years? I doubt I'll replace my es1 with one considering that I'm now rather wary of Korgs quality control.
We'll always be remembered, we'll always be dismembered.
