So I just traded for an Akai S2800 sampler and an Alesis Midiverb II and unfortunately the manual was not included...this is my first go with a hardware sampler and I have only a few things figured out...my biggest problems being keygroups, how to make it so that samples sound like themselves, just lower when I play them across the board instead of warping, and most importantly, how to save everything....help!

yeah, could do without the sarcasm...thanks.
You ever put "akai s2800 manual" in Google? Also, all the Akai pages I was directed to were dead links.
So, regardless of the attitude, thank you.

I didn't mean to be all that harsh. First thing I do when I want a manual is check the manufacturer's wesbite for 'legacy products' or support documents. It's surprising what's out there. If there's not a download on the website, a quick email to support can do the trick. Roland/Boss UK are particularly helpful I find.

no worries...so is the S2000 identical or very similar to the S2800? All I saw on that page was the OS version 2.0 for the S2800, and the manual was a S2000. Thanks.

link no longer working.. i did see though that the Akai S3000XL manual is "basically" the manual for the S2800.. no the instructions are not 1:1 identical but they are more similar than different. So if you need it.. go to Akai under support / legacy products / S300XL
Thanks,
Caleb

I wanted to put it out there that I do in fact have an actual S2800 sampler manual in my possession. If anyone would like a copy let me know. I have not digitized it yet because these posts are so old but if someone needs it I'll see about scanning it.

As far as i know there was not a dedicated S-2800 manual.
I used the S-3000 instead. I Think the 2800 is a cut Down version of the S3000
The 2000 is similar but does not have the same display
Just use the 3000 manual
Cheers

I used to have an S2800i and it definitely came with a dedicated manual.
