Macbook Pro and SCSI SMDI

Post by Spadz » Wed May 12, 2010 1:41 am

Hello all,

I've been trying to find info on people who had success with this... I'd like to be able to transfer samples to/from my E-Mu E-Synth and Yamaha A3000. I have a MBP with an Express 34 slot.
I know there are Firewire to SCSI and USB to SCSI that exists, but I did not see anyone using them successfully in this context.

Or if there is another way, by all means tell me.

If anyone knows how to do this, please help me!

Ok, I've read reports of success using the Castlewood USB to SCSI converters with Emu samplers. These came with Castlewood ORb drives, and after Iomega litigated them out of existence, they came with the late Iomega Jaz drives. Sometimes you can find the castlewood usb to scsi adaptors on ebay, but more often you find them with one of the two drives mentioned above.

Interesting. I'll do some research on this.

Thanks
