IIRC the main outs have a darker sounding filter than the mono sub outs, which usually sound grittier as well.

Hmmmm I will try the individual outputs and compare, thanks. Looking at the Youngmonkey page it says there is seperate low pass filters on both the stereo outs and individual outs, it would be cool to try and bypass them somehow... Though the darkness is a rather nice sound in itself.
