I checked out CMIOS9 but I'm not sure how to use this on the PC. There is no executable file to run in DOS where it runs I presume. Does anyone know if CMIOS9 compiles on a PC or is it for Linux? When files start getting into the .c and .h area, I start to get lost...laugh. Thanks. ( Note I just joined the Yahoo Group for Fairlight for more info ).madtheory wrote:I used CMIOS9, which now has source code available. It can batch convert CMI samples to WAV, again without loop points, but at least you get the correct sample name and duration all in one go, and you don't have to deal with file headers as audio. I also left them as 8 bit because Kontakt can handle that.
I'm kind of late to the party on these Fairlight Samples. I'm going to take a stab at some conversions. This is great news!
