So has anyone seen this German demo video?

Perhaps it gives more insight than that garbage Korg demo.

Haha, I'm not making music as much these days, so I'm not going to the forums much. Good to see some familiar names around still.

Korg has released the AudioPocket app. I actually quite like it. Very accessible for on the fly samples when I'm on the subway or flying.

4/5. I would like to see the option of duplicating a sample to chop two separate parts. As of now it is destructive editing.

Does it take about 14 seconds to transfer each sample?

They've released the SDK (http://korginc.github.io/volcasample/index.html) to let developers work on it.

It converts your samples into raw data that must be literally played into the Volca Sample (through Audio In) in order to transfer samples.

so this allows sample transfer to the Volca without an ios device? If so, that's pretty cool.

yes! and there may be more round there because the code is open source
however, consider that every sample takes about 10 seconds to transfer. they made it the old/modem (geek?) way :?

From the videos I've watched on youtube so far, everybody is just noodling with the preload sounds.Do people even realize you can load your own sounds into this thing? :dontknow:

If that solves the problem of having to have an Iphone, than good. It's cool that it converts WAVs to whatever format the VS has, but seriously, why are samplers still messing around with obscure file formats? It doesn't realistically protect content meant for only your companies devices and programs. All it does is piss people off and waste their time running files through stupid conversion programs. Just make everything play WAVs and be done with it. :verymad:
This looks like a psychotropic reaction. No wonder it's so popular...

Because it saves Korg the cost and more importantly space of a USB port. Same reason they didn't have onboard sampling. Space.
