Guess the sampler........

Little fun with a longtime, slightly tweaked friend... no hints... and mind your ears; they might bleed from all the aliasing 8-)

I voted for the Mirage but I think it could well be an S612.

Ha, love that dirty nasty gritty sound.
I voted for the Mirage. I have the EII and even at a lower sampling rate it doesn't get that dirty.
Had a Mirage for a couple of months and it reminds me of that.
Never heard the Akai.

ps..I remember you had an EII briefly(I thought of buying it from you).
I also remember you having a Mirage, and I don't think you ever sold it.

I like your choice of New Wave standards as your sample source!

I know nothing about the WTPA, so that said -

I say it's the Akai s-612. I believe I can hear you adjusting the start/stop sliders while playing back the samples. It's pretty much the coolest thing the S-612 does.

And it can sound a lot better than your examples! but that's not the point here, right :^)

Roland JP-8, D-50, S-50, S-550(2x), S-760(2x), JX-3P, JD-800
EII, Emax II, Minimoog, ARP 2600, P-5 Rev.1 (broken...), Pro-One, Crumar Performer, K1m, K5m, MS-2000B, Virus KC, a few other things.

and see if this old cassette of big chair will work with my goodwill tape deck!

Ya loop point modulation an "old friend" and no LPF would imply S612. Sweet sounding machine :)
