Akai S612 sample library in WAV?

Post by blueknob » Mon Aug 24, 2015 7:58 pm

In the mid 1980s I bought a S612+MD280 QD jobbie, was great, I had a few really great samples (all AKAI library QDs) one I recall has a hard bass sound maybe around the number 33 in the library.
I sold that sampler in the 1990s (bought an X7000) I am now searching for that one sound from the library, yes a bit silly I know, so has anyone made WAVs of the S612 library sounds?

Can't help you with the library, but there is a MD280 on E-bay right now for $125 USD

I have an MD280, I don't use, message me if you're still interested.

Damn, yes a 612 sample library would be great! Don't think I've seen any original S612 disks yet, and being floppy their days are numbered as far as reliability goes.
