I also upgraded the LCD with a NOS (new old stock) LCD screen so the backlight is healthy.

my fave sampler without a doubt is the akai s900/s950, I've owned many in the past, now I just have 1 s900. great quick workflow (if you load up a template disk with all your keygroups ready) plus it sounds great!
