Yamaha AN1x arpeggiator bug

Postby Kenneth » Wed Jun 21, 2017 5:24 pm

Hey everybody. I'm trying to set up a split patch on my AN1x with an arpeggiated bassline assigned to the lower section of the keyboard, and a poly lead sound in the upper. Since I only want the bassline to be arpeggiated, and not the lead, I've set the arpeggiator to "scene 1" which is the bass sound assigned to the lower section of the keyboard so the upper section should not be triggering the arp at all. However, when I play notes in the upper section of the keyboard, it behaves as though I've set the keyboard to "dual" mode: the lead melody plays normally with the notes pressed, but those keys are also triggering arpeggiated notes from "scene 1" which should not be happening, as that sound is assigned to only be played by the lower section of the keyboard. Is there any way to get this to work properly?

What version of the firmware does your AN1x have?
An ebay seller for version 1.04 EPROM chip says:

1. arpeggiator
2. fixes pre-mature "battery low" message
