Hi everyone!

I recently bought a Yamaha TX802 (rack version of the DX7 mkII) on eBay from a dealer in Japan. This is my first vintage hardware purchase so I'm super excited. My question is concerning the appropriate way to power the synth. Since it is from Japan, it uses the Japanese 100V powering system instead of the American 110/120V system. I did some researching and found that I will need a power transformer to safely power the synth. Now I just need to choose the wattage of the power transformer (they range from 100W to 1000W). I was going to make this decision based off of the wattage of the TX802, but can't find how many watts it produces. On the back panel it reads:

"100V 8W 50/60Hz"

I'm assuming it needs way more than 8W to operate, considering that 8W isn't even enough to power a cellphone charger I know it is possible to calculate wattage using this formula:

Volts * Amps = Watts

But I don't know how many amps a TX802 has, and I don't think using the 8W as the actual wattage is going to give me accurate results. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
