emu problem

How can I make the multi light on my EMU Virtuoso 2000 stop blinking? Nothing in the manual even mentions it. I would appreciate any help anyone could give.

Is it blinking in response to MIDI? Some older Roland MIDI keyboards transmit active sensing, a continuous MIDI signal. Might this be the issue?
