Casio CZ1000 Key-tracking/pitch calibration problem?

Postby Burial_Grid » Mon Feb 12, 2018 5:18 pm

Hello hello. I have an old CZ1000 that I was planning on selling but the pitch tracking is off by about 7 semitones. For example, the C1 key is actually G1 and so on and so forth. The Master Tune function only increases or decreases the pitch by about 1 semitone. Any leads? I've manually adjusted the pitch calibration of old analogs before, but I'm certain that the CZ series doesn't have internal pots. Thanks a bunch!

Check the "Key Transpose" button.

It does have internal pots, but that's not what you should go at. Get a pen and use it to push the reset button on the bottom as you power it up.

if its not the transpose and its not the master tune, don't forget to check the pitch bend, which will often have a huge range until you press that p button and/or manually reprogram it.
