My Roland TR-808 issue:
I've replaced the batteries following the original manual's instructions but the machine is not able to hold the memory.
After a poweroff, each pattern-A is always empty and each pattern-B is always full: "every instrument hits on every beat".
Any ideas how to resolve?

Re: Roland TR-808 Issue
Some 808's will lose the first pattern due to a power spike when the on/off button is pressed due to the power cable being too close to the mode selector switch.....try moving the mode selector switch to something which doesn't zap the memory when you power off or on to determine if that could be the problem.
