Akai ME30P Memory Dump?

Postby pmj » Sun Apr 15, 2018 1:23 pm

I use an Akai ME30P to route my MIDI signals and would like to try and dump its memory settings to my Mac.

I've always been under the impression that you can't do this (there certainly isn't a way via the front panel that I'm aware of and nothing in the manual) but is there a way to "force" it to give up it's settings by sending some kind of dump request message over sysex?

Not sure what the structure would be. General dump request format might be something like:

F0 7E 47 03 ... F7

(Where 47 is Akai's manufacturer ID) but I'm not sure of what the rest might be.

Anyone got this to work?
