Lexicon PCM 42 Issue and Question

Post by bionary » Tue Jul 24, 2018 1:10 am

Hi,
I recently purchased a PCM 42 and have a few questions about it. First, I'm not able to hear any signal out of the main output. I get the delayed sound when using the delay output and the direct signal using the direct output. Am I doing something wrong? And secondly, is it possible to run the LFO out of a synth (Korg MS-20 or Kenton Pro2000 mkii) into the VCO in of the PCM 42 and control it via the synth?

The problem was caused by the Output pot on the back of the unit. It had come loose from the circuit board and was also cracked on the inside. It was replaced with a 16 MM 10kB (linear) potentiometer and it now functions as it should.
