Roland RS-9 potentiometers unstable

Post by lhoffman » Tue Sep 11, 2018 11:04 pm

Here's a problem I'm having with a Roland RS-9. If I adjust the values of the filter, LFO, or envelope, they won't stay put, they will erratically change, and some values for knobs I haven't even touched will start changing. I looked for any obvious loose connections on the board, but didn't see any. Is this a problem with the pots, the IC that controls them, or something else?

I've made a video of the problem:

EDIT: I replaced two of the pots and that fixed the problem. If anyone else has a similar problem, you will need 10 kOhm, 25 mm-hmm potentiometers.
