I cant find the sound for this song or a cheaper chamberlin

Post by AnOccasionalDream » Sun Jan 06, 2019 11:01 pm

So basically I've been listening to a pretty good song called Sense of Doubt by David Bowie. And in this live performance -

I understand he's using a Chamberlin M1, but I don't want to pay that much money, and also I can use a regular piano preset. What I want to know is the preset sound after David Bowie plays the legato. (if you are confused it's the sound that starts at 0:25) So if anyone can tell me a synthesizer that uses this preset sound or something similar, it would be very helpful

And if you're feeling extra helpful, I'd like to know also a similar synthesizer used in A New Career in a New Town:

Or if you know what's happening in the regular album version:

There is a guy on YouTube who does a cover of this if you want some help

You can get Chamberlain and Mellotron samples easily enough these days. Load into a sampler, done.
I listened to Hatfield and the North at Rainbow. They were very wonderful and they made my heart a prisoner.
